Most people haven’t bought a new mattress for over 10 years and in the meantime haven’t paid much attention to what’s going on in the mattress market. When they realize they need a new bed they often start their research on-line and very soon are overwhelmed by all the information some of which is helpful, a lot confusing or misleading.
What consumers need is clear and accurate information so they can make a considered choice that meets their needs and preferences. After all, buying a new bed is an investment that will affect your health and well-being for the next decade.
Obviously a fundamental aspect – though not the only one - is chemical safety and this is where we feel the marketing message of the organic mattress industry limits the consumer’s focus too much, does not offer enough information and often scares more than it informs.
